Celebrate the Mexican Independence Day by attending one of the biggest festivities in San Antonio–16 de Septiembre. The fun will take place at Avenida Plaza Guadalupe (1313 Guadalupe St); it’s “one of the most sought after multicultural fiestas in San Antonio and the surrounding areas,” so it can’t disappoint!

Join the party on Saturday, September 14, beginning at 8:00 a.m., complete with a Drill Team Competition, Parade, Festival and the Boxing Extravaganza featuring the Floyd Mayweather and Saul “Canelo” Alvarez bout. The schedule is as follows:

  • Drill Team Competition @ 8:00 a.m.
  • Parade Step-Off @ 10:00 a.m. You must register to take part in this!
  • Festival @ 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Admission is FREE, so don’t miss out!
  • Boxing Extravaganza begins @ 7:00 p.m.

Tickets to the Boxing Extravaganza costs $30, but is well worth since this fight is guaranteed to be a good one between 2 undefeated boxers! We hope you can make it out to celebrate and prepare for the Grito de Delores.
