Mark Your Calendars, Fort Sam Houston: Luminaria, San Antonio’s Annual Contemporary Arts Festival, Returns Oct. 23!

October 16, 2015

A San Antonio favorite since 2008, Luminaria will return for its eighth season in 2015! This annual contemporary arts festival celebrates the talent of performers and artists hailing from places near and far from Fort Sam Houston, in a wide range of mediums: poetry, music, painting, theater, and film, to name a few.

Open to the public (and free to join!) Luminaria will take place between 7 p.m. and midnight on Friday, Oct. 23, and Saturday, Oct. 24. The festival comprises various performances and events, all of which will take place at different venues in the River North neighborhood of San Antonio (see the festival's map for more specific locations).

While Luminaria is free and open to the public, a select few events are ticketed; they include special workshops, panel discussions, and luncheons.
