Texas’ Tax Free Holiday and The Exchange’s Price Matching

Loose Change

I know the kids don’t want to talk about yet, but school will be back in session soon and that means shopping will also happen soon. Lucky for you, Texas has a state sales tax holiday coming up in the near future!

Texas shoppers will be able to save up to 8.25 percent on qualifying items in the upcoming sales tax event in August. The sales tax holiday will begin at 12:01 a.m. August 9, and conclude at 11:59 p.m. August 11. According to the Windows on State Government website the sales tax exempts most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks individually priced under $100 from sales and use taxes.

I know that The Exchange located on base is tax free year round and also does price matching, but just in case you can’t find what you need there’s always Texas’ tax free weekend. So, do some research on what your students need, and plan your shopping excursion accordingly!
